As we were visiting my granddad in Serangoon, we decided to pop into this often talked about brunch place in Serangoon GardenArbite. On the second floor of one of the old-school shophouses, this cozy restaurant has barely place for 20. Thankfully, we made a reservation the day before as it was more than half full when we popped by close to noon.

K happily proceeded to play around with the lego bits handed to him by a friendly waitress, and we had a reasonably quiet lunch – with the breakfast set, open-face omelette (which turned out to be more of a oven-baked crusted omelette with random fillings), and the ‘wife’s dark chocolate cake’. Overall, the food was nothing to shout about, but was edible and decently priced at around $50 for two mains, two drinks, and a dessert.

(Randomly, the place reminded me of Ikea. Perhaps it’s decked out in Ikea furniture – white cushions, teak furniture.)
