Yesterday evening (a Saturday evening), the boss sent me a text message to “see” her email response in regards to a piece of work that I sent her on Friday evening. It was something that was not urgent – i.e. could wait till Monday to finish off.
So I decided that I’ll look at it only on Monday morning.
Should I have logged on (takes a million years to get connected with the VPN access)?

No. They shouldn’t be expecting you to check emails on weekends. BTW, my director advocates work-life balance- he says if he emails us on weekends, we don’t need to reply until the next weekday work week. And that he Doesn’t want to see any emails at times like 2am in the morning. Haha.
Hehe Bev, maybe your Director should give mine a lesson in employee engagement :D
