Yet another brunch place for those wake-up-late weekends, Hatched offers a really extensive all-day-breakfast-type menu featuring eggs, for great value. We had a gooey baked egg topped with bacon and cheese, an omelette, and a latte, and spent only S$30!
We were so tempted to go for the huge portion of fluffy pancakes too, but were too full :( The menu had a mind-boggling array of egg items – at least 5 different types of poached eggs alone! – and was decently priced (no service charge).
Be warned though, that it’s very packed (small place), service is really slow (food took 40 minutes to arrive, a cup of latte 20), and if you don’t have a booking, be prepared to wait… and wait (as did one couple who were stuck at the bar waiting for a table more than half the time we were there).
But with great food and decent prices, I’ve already stored the reservations number into my phone (despite the distance from our place).
